callmecanary In true 1tr style, this album stays abrasive and loud, but also features more ambient and clean, almost empty passages. Reflecting this sentiment, thematically it is on the edge of this balance too, between self-enforcement and deep introspection. It certainly has an experimental feel to it. More harmonic freedom, dipping into atonality, awkwardly rhythmicised "sprachgesang", but also shouted chorus vocals and experimentation with quietness. A journey. And a really good one.
